COUNTY BOARD MEETING

The October meeting of the County Board Members of Grundy County, Illinois will be held at the Grundy County Administration Center, 1320 Union Street in Morris on Tuesday, the 10th day of October A.D. 2023 at 6:00 P.M. for the purpose of Auditing County Claims and the Transaction of any other business that may properly come before the meeting.

All bills of claims against the County must be filed at least seven (7) days prior to the meeting to insure notice of the Board at the meeting.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA NO. 1
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that on October 12, 2021 at 5:45 p.m. at the County Office located 1320 Union Street, Morris, Illinois, 60450 a public hearing will be held to consider the approval of a Third Amendment to the Plan of Development (the “Amendment”) for the Grundy County Economic Development Project Area No. 1 (the “EDPA No. 1”) which amends the exterior boundaries of EDPA No. 1 to remove therefrom the territory legally described as follows:

Part of Sections 24, 25, and 26 all in Township 34 North, Range 7 East of the Third Principal Meridian, Grundy County, Illinois, described as follows:

Beginning at the Southwest Quarter of Section 26; thence North along the West line of the of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 26 to the Northwest Corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 26; thence East along the North line of said Southwest Quarter to the Northeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 26; thence North along the West line of the Northeast Quarter of Section 26 to the South line of the North 100 acres of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 26; thence East along the South line of said North 100 acres to the Southwest corner of the East 40 acres of the North 100 acres of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 26, thence North along the West line of the East 40 acres of the North 100 acres of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 26 to the North line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 26, thence East along the North line of said Section 26 to the Northeast corner of said Section 26 and the Southwest corner of said Section 24; thence North along the West line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 24 to the South Right-of-way of U.S. Route 6; thence Northeasterly along the Southeasterly Right-of-way line of U.S. Route 6 to the West corner of the property described in Doc. The Removed Area is generally located southwest of the intersection of Brisbin Road and US Route No. 6 and generally bounded by U.S. Route 6 on the north, Brisbin Road on the east, the CSX Railroad line on the south, and Ashley Road on the west.

The Amendment does not include any proposed conveyance, lease, mortgage or other disposition of land within the EDPA No. 1.

Prior to the date of the public hearing, each taxing district having property in EDPA No. 1and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and any other party may submit comments to the County concerning the subject matter of the hearing, to the attention of the County Administrator, 1320 Union Street, Morris, Illinois, 60450 and a copy of the proposed Amendment is available for review at said office of the County Administrator.

In accordance with the County Economic Development Project Area Property Tax Allocation Act, as supplemented and amended, there is hereby convened a Joint Review Board to consider the proposed Amendment to the Plan.  The Joint Review Board shall consist of the chief executive officer, or his/her designee of each affected taxing districts having taxable property within EDPA No. 1 and such individuals are invited to participate in the Joint Review Board.  The first meeting of said Joint Review Board shall be held at 2:00 p.m. on the 2nd day of September, 2021 at the County Office located 1320 Union Street, Morris, Illinois, 60450.

At the public hearing, all interested persons or affected taxing districts may file written objections with the County Clerk and may be heard orally with respect to any issues regarding the approval of the Amendment to the Plan.  The hearing may be adjourned or continued by the County Chairman and County Board Members without further notice other than a motion to be entered upon the minutes of the hearing fixing the time and place of the subsequent hearing.

 All interested persons are hereby notified of a hearing on the proposed budget and appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year beginning December 1, 2022 and ending November 30, 2023 for the County of Grundy, Illinois.  The hearing will be held at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Grundy County Administration Center, 1320 Union Street, Morris, Illinois.  The tentative budget and appropriation ordinance will be available at the Grundy County Clerk’s office, 111 East Washington Street, Room 12, Courthouse, Morris, Illinois, during its normal business hours.

All interested persons are hereby notified of a hearing on the proposed amended budget and appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year beginning December 1, 2021 and ending November 30, 2022 for the County of Grundy, Illinois.  The hearing will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Grundy County Administration Center, 1320 Union St., Morris, Illinois.  The amended budget and appropriation ordinance will be available at the Grundy County Clerk’s office, 111 East Washington Street, Room 12, Courthouse, Morris, Illinois, during its normal business hours.
